WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN
6MONTHS - 12 MONTHS
Infants 6 Months-Till They're Walking
(about 12 mo)
Why this young?
Because the sooner the safer!
Our program will teach your child breath control, correct floating posture and the ISR Self-Rescue skill of rolling onto their backs to float, rest and breathe until help arrives. These students learn basic survival skills, then are brought back at an older age to learn our Swim-Float-Swim sequence, which they already know a portion of.

Older, more mobile children will learn the full ISR Self-Rescue sequence of swimming until they need air, rotating onto the back to float, then rolling back over to continue swimming. ISR students are taught to repeat this sequence until they reach the safety of the steps, side of the pool, or the shoreline.
During your child's last week we will have parents get in the pool. We will teach you how to maintain your child's skills in the water.
83%
of children who drown, are fully clothed at the time?
This is why during the final week of lessons, while under the watchful eye of an instructor, each of our students has the opportunity to practice their self-rescue skills in their clothes. We like to do both summer and winter clothes as drowning knows no season.
